Glass Humidor – Why isnt my Humidor working?

Why isnt my Humidor working?

I have a cigar humidor i got about a week ago. I filled the humidifier and charged the hygrometer. I also left a glass full of water to evaporate and season the wood. I have left it in my room at room temperature and my cigars are drying out and it seems like the humidor does not hold humidity. What exactly do i need to do to keep it humidified?

Should i remove my cigars from the glass or metal tubes when stored in a humidor?

Do not remove cigars from glass tubes. They are in a glass sealed container, there is absolutely no reason to remove them. The glass tube is acting like a humidor. The humidity inside the tube has been sealed in, and your cigar will be well preserved.
